She was one of the cases in my PG ,way back in 2003. I still have the hand written case sheet filled in as per the protocols of the hospital ,I translated the headings to Hindi from Marathi.I have it pinned to the diary which I keep for precious and important learnings from my profession. So 18 odd years ago, a pretty petite and always smiling 27 year old MANGAL was assigned to me for 14 days treatment and I had to present her case thereafter. #YOGADAY2022 #YOGAFORHUMANITY The term YOG means UNION, derived from the Sanskrit word YUJ meaning -'to join'. It is about the union or syncing of mind and body. The path of uniting the JEEVATMA with PARAMATMA-the ultimate destination or goal is to achieve Salvation. In all practicality, while you live in this world-going about your daily chores, carrying out your business of living-The adoption of YOGA as a form of self care & fitness is a baby step .But, it is an effective, long-term means to a good life. Thoughts On World Environment Day Everything in nature, around us and within us-we are all made up of the FIVE ELEMENTS i.e. the PANCHATATVAs!! The existence ,the movement ,the functioning of the entire natural ecosystem-broadly or at cellular level is about the dynamics of these elements and the balance between them The Panchatatvas, The Tridoshas ,The Trigunas: In Ayurveda all these are what make or break us!!! In terms of mental, physical and spiritual health-it really is all about finding our own unique balance within ourselves and tune our mind and body accordingly. When we listen to ourselves ,our elements at play and respond ;then only we are in sync with our self, our environment. Then only we truly respect it..we preserve it..we value it......! What we HAVE within and AROUND is our greatest Asset. Save the Elements & their Force, Save the environment to Save ourselves. \
